College Internship

577 offers internship opportunities throughout the year to undergraduate and graduate students looking to expand on their chosen field of study, develop important professional leadership skills and flex their creative muscles.     Community Gardens

    The Community Gardeners are an important part of 577; their gardens have created a pleasant environment for visitors, an education in organic growing and an inspiration to future gardeners. Each year, our gardeners grow and donate hundreds of pounds of organic produce to local food banks—truly embodying a sense of community.

    50 garden spots are available on a first come basis. Organic gardening advice, basic gardening tools, hoses, leaf mulch, compost (when available) and seasonal gardening classes are provided.

    Properties Manager

    We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Properties Manager to help care for the historic buildings and beautiful grounds at 577. This full-time position offers hands-on work in maintenance, custodial care, landscaping, and event support, all while contributing to a vibrant nonprofit community arts and nature center. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, flexible, and comfortable with physical work in all seasons. Must have experience in general maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, electrical), a strong work ethic, and a passion for preserving historic spaces and serving the public.
