Music in the Gardens ~ This Saturday at 577

Music. Nature. Community. It’s all coming together this Saturday, July 12, at 577’s Music in the Gardens—a free, family-friendly event filled with connection, creativity, and the rhythm of summer.

From 11am to 4pm, the grounds will be alive with sound as we welcome back three fan-favorite musical groups, performing throughout the day on the Outdoor Stage and inside Virginia’s House.

Jeff Tucker, a local singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt lyrics and engaging style, will kick things off on the Outdoor Stage from 11am to 1pm. From 1pm to 2pm, the talented student musicians of Northview Tri-M Music Honor Society will fill Virginia’s House with the sounds of their orchestra ensemble. Then from 2pm to 4pm, enjoy the upbeat energy of Quick Trio, a jazz group whose smooth improvisation always makes for a memorable performance.

In between performances, stop by for a sweet summer treat from Jacky’s Depot Fresh Pops Cart, featuring handmade frozen pops in a variety of flavors. You’ll also find Citizens’ Climate Education in Virginia’s House, sharing simple ways we can all take action to protect the planet and build a more sustainable future. Bring a blanket or chair and relax for a while, or explore the gardens while music drifts through the air. There’s something special about being together outdoors with neighbors and new friends.

Rain or Shine! We don’t let a forecast of rain stop the fun. All performances will continue, rain or shine. If needed, everything will move indoors to Virginia’s House. No matter the weather, the music and community spirit carry on.

Inspired by conversations and creativity shared at the Ohio Arts Council’s Arts Impact Ohio conference, Executive Director Heather Gallant reflects on artist David Zinn’s playful work and the “fear of the blank canvas” many people experience when trying something new creatively. Through stories about art, process, and joy, Heather reminds us that creativity is less about perfection and more about curiosity, connection, and making space for wonder in everyday life.
