Something New is Growing: Pop-Up Plant Sale at 577
If you’ve spent time wandering the gardens and grounds at 577 this year, you’ve seen the work of our horticulture team all around you. From colorful garden beds and thriving native plants to the trees, pathways, and little details that change with the seasons, Bennett and Samantha have been busy tending, planting, growing, and caring for this special place throughout the year.
Behind the scenes, they’ve also been preparing for something new.
On Friday, September 18, and Saturday, September 19, stop by the Welcome Center & Curiosity Shop for a Pop-Up Houseplant & Native Plant Sale featuring houseplants in a variety of types, sizes, and prices, along with a selection of native plants for just $5 each.

For those looking to add native plants to their own gardens, the pop-up will include several familiar favorites and perhaps a few plants you haven’t grown before.

Whether you’re filling an established native garden, adding more variety to your landscape, or starting with just one or two plants, the sale is a chance to bring home something new while supporting the work happening at 577.
And if your garden space is indoors, there will be plenty to explore, too. Houseplants will vary in type, size, and price, so part of the fun will be seeing what’s waiting in the Curiosity Shop when you arrive.
Your Purchase Supports 577
Proceeds from the Pop-Up Plant Sale support 577’s mission and the work that happens here throughout the year.
Community support helps keep the gardens and grounds free and open to everyone, supports educational programs and experiences, helps care for the buildings and landscapes that make up this special place, and creates opportunities for people of all ages to learn, create, explore, and connect.
So while Bennett and Samantha have been busy helping things grow at 577, we hope you’ll stop by the Pop-Up Plant Sale and find something to grow at home, too.
