Join us this Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12pm to 4pm, for Joy & Light—a cozy winter celebration inviting friends, families, and neighbors to slow down and enjoy the simple joys of the season together.
Inside Virginia’s House
Step into the warmth and glow of the House, where live music will fill the rooms throughout the afternoon. Enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, and create a festive paper snowflake in the Library—a simple, joyful way to welcome the season with friends and neighbors.
- Northview Tri-M Music Honor Society will perform from 12pm to 2:30pm, bringing beautiful ensemble music to kick off the celebration.
- Harpist Rebecca Swett will offer a peaceful performance from 3pm to 4pm in the Dining Room.
In the Green Door Studio
Festive creativity continues in the Green Door Studio, where participants of all ages can join in eco-friendly, make-and-take watercolor and block-printing projects.
As part of Joy & Light, you are encouraged to create one piece of art to keep and one to give. These community-made cards and mini art prints will be donated to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Toledo, offering comfort, encouragement, and a spark of joy to children and families receiving care.
A small act of creativity becomes a meaningful gift—spreading light far beyond our walls.
Explore the Gardens & Grounds
Take a peaceful stroll through the winter gardens and enjoy the quiet beauty of the season. Follow along with our winter scavenger hunt, a fun way to notice small details and seasonal wonders you might otherwise miss. When you finish, stop by the Welcome Center to pick up a free sticker as a little keepsake of your adventure.
And don’t forget to visit the Geodesic Biodome—our own little tropical oasis. Step inside to warm up among lush greenery, vibrant plants, and the soft hum of life that continues even in the coldest months. It’s the perfect place to pause, breathe, and enjoy a touch of the tropics on a winter afternoon.
Welcome Center & Curiosity Shop
Take a moment to unwind by the warmth of the corn stove and browse shelves filled with local art, handmade gifts, pottery, books, art supplies, and unique treasures. Every purchase supports local artists and helps 577 continue its mission of creativity, community, and lifelong learning.
We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate community, creativity, and the simple joys of the season.
*Additional parking will be available in the Medical Center across the street.
